I'd like to introduce you to the lending library and tell you a little bit about it. The lending library was on my heart to start for over a year. I wanted to honor my daughter Shannon whom my husband and I lost to miscarriage in 2007. And so it became my goal to open by Labor Day, 2009, but as is often the case, that was not meant to be. In mid-September, 2009, I lost our third child Tobias to miscarriage. With the pain of that event, I knew that the library would need to have a new name in order to honor both of these precious children. So, Shannon Tobias Memorial Christian Lending Library got its name. Now, it was time to really take action, and so I ordered library supplies and began the process of really cataloging, labeling, and stamping my collection of books. This process has been long and is not yet complete, but there are currently over 750 Christian fiction/non-fiction titles that are in the library's collection of circulating books (as of October, 2013). The Shannon Tobias Memorial Christian Lending Library had its Grand Opening debut on Saturday, July 17, 2010. Seven people attended our open house and six signed up for library cards. We are so excited about this opportunity to reach out and bless people around us with this special library!
In August, 2012, Shannon Tobias Memorial Christian Lending Library closed doors to our Pennsylvania library and relocated to Minnesota. We held our Minnesota Grand Opening in April, 2013. We hope to have many neat programs at our new location. Check back for more details!

Library Policies
Library Cards
An application must be filled out in order to receive a library card. The applicant must be present to apply for and receive their library card. Applicants under 18 years of age must have a parent present to sign their application. Children must be 12 years or older to apply for a card. Lost/damaged library cards cost 50 cents to replace. Library card must be present to check out.
Borrowing Books
Patrons are limited to having four books checked out at one time. You will be told when your books are due when you check out. Books may be checked out for a four week period and may be renewed one time for another four week period. To renew a book you may do one of the following:
1. Call to renew at 651-214-9395
2. Email your renewal request to shannontobiaslibrary@gmail.com
3. Come in to the library to renew in person
Renewals must be requested on or before your book’s due date, otherwise late fees will accrue until you do renew. Books should be returned to the library during open hours.
Late Fees & Damages
Late fees accrue when your items are overdue. The late fee charge is 10 cents per item per day. Please keep track of your due date! Reminder notices are not available at this time.
If a book is returned damaged, you will be required to pay the replacement cost for the item so that a new copy may be acquired for the library. Charges may also apply to damaged spine labels.
Book Care
Please follow these simple guidelines while your borrowed books are home with you:
-Do not write in books, earmark pages, curl front covers backward, or use books as coasters
-Do take very good care of the books while they are in your care
-Enjoy the books you have borrowed!!
